Dr. Jan Fekkes

Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester (England), Dr. Fekkes specializes in Old Testament-New Testament intertextuality, the Book of Revelation, and the theological interpretation of Scripture. He also plays the guitar and piano and enjoys leading worship at church and in the classroom. Dr. Bruce Grigsby

Dr. Bruce Grigsby

Dr. Grigsby’s several years of study include a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), where he studied under scholars such as F. F. Bruce. Students appreciate his solid understanding of biblical languages and Latin, his rich knowledge of the classical world, and his ability to take the British style of lecture and seminar style coursework into Trinity’s Living-Learning Community. Rev. Erik Samuelson

In addition to his role as Campus Pastor, Erik Samuelson assists in teaching theology courses. His academic interests include Lutheran theology, the doctrine of vocation, liturgical worship, and young adult ministry. He holds a Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Systematic and Philosophical Theology from the Graduate Theological Union.



Dr. David Schulz

Dr. Schulz teaches courses in public speaking, rhetorical theory, persuasive messages, and methods of research and inquiry. Students eagerly respond to his high-expectation courses and individual mentoring. He earned a Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the Pennsylvania State University, has authored several publications (including co-authoring a book used in communication courses nation-wide), has frequently presented at national and international academic conferences. Mike VanQuickenborne

Mike VanQuickenborne

Mike VanQuickenborne joined Trinity Lutheran College in 2012 as Affiliate Faculty in Theology & Philosophy. He teaches Modern Philosophy. Professor VanQuickenborne is a tenured philosophy instructor at Everett Community College. Along with a slate of standard introductory philosophy courses, he has been teaching a course of his own design called “Philosophy in the Cinema” since 2000. Read full biography.
