Trinity Invitational Chorus to perform at Benaroya Hall


Experience an afternoon of exciting music. The Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) brings together hundreds of musicians of all ages from around Puget Sound. This fall they have joined with the Trinity Lutheran College Invitational Chorus for a performance at Benaroya Hall on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.

Gerry Jon Marsh and Stephen Marshall-Ward are thrilled to lead this massive production celebrating the message of peace for the world embodied in the music and message of this amazing concert.

The concert will open with Finlandia followed by Slavonic Dance No. 4. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto will feature Clarinetist Rachel Cho as soloist. The orchestra will finish the first half with the glorious Maestoso Finale of Saint Saéns “Organ” Symphony No. 3, featuring Marshall-Ward on Benaroya Hall’s magnificent Watjen Concert Organ.

The second half of the program will feature the CYSO accompanying the 200-voice Trinity Lutheran College Invitational Chorus, directed by Marshall-Ward, who chairs the college's music department. The chorus will perform Mendelssohn’s There Shall A Star from Jacob Come Forth,and the world premiere of a commissioned piece Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming, written and directed by Trinity choral director Michael Miller. Concluding this gala event is a performance of the Song of Luke: The story of the Incarnation through the eyes of the Angel Gabriel by Gerry Jon Marsh and Ryan Marsh. Gerry Jon Marsh will direct the first half of the concert and the Song of Luke.
