Trinity announces Slind as Director of Soccer

July 24, 2014

Trinity Lutheran College Athletic Director Matt Koenigs announced today the promotion of Head Men’s Soccer Coach Harlan Slind to the position of Director of Soccer. The move follows an organizational restructure of the soccer programs at Trinity that follows a national trend at the small college level.

As the Director of Soccer, Slind will provide leadership and oversight for both the men’s and women’s teams at Trinity Lutheran College.

“We are thrilled at what this means for our soccer programs,” said Koenigs.

“This move will put Harlan on campus more often, providing our student-athletes with greater access to their coaching staff. I am looking forward to having the momentum that he brought to the men’s team begin to carry over to the women’s team as well.”

Slind will begin recruiting for the women’s team immediately and has aid still to distribute for the 2014-15 academic year.

Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Tim Colvin will continue to work with the women’s team as a part of Slind’s staff this fall. That staff will also include assistant coaches Tao Shen and Liviu Bird.
