The Trinity women’s soccer team stunned Rocky Mountain College (ranked 24th in the NAIA national pre-season polls) for the second time in the 2013 season with a late-game goal by sophomore Terrika Weaver on an assist by senior Kayla Kliphardt. Freshman goalkeeper Carley Moberg notched the shutout.
This game caps off a very long road trip that saw a tough loss to Carroll College and a disappointing later overtime 1-0 loss to the University of Great Falls.
Trinity is the only school in the region to hand two losses to the Battlin’ Bears this season, establishing themselves as a program to be watched in the coming year.
A big thanks goes out to all of this year’s seniors who have completed their final games at Trinity.
