Professor Ingersoll has extensive experience working alongside young children and their caregivers in both formal and informal educational settings. She is dedicated to studying and supporting the holistic development of children, with particular interest in nurturing their spiritual lives. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Trinity Lutheran College, majoring in Christian Education, and an M.A. in Family Life Education from Concordia University, St. Paul. She is a current Ph.D. candidate in Education at Seattle Pacific University.
Professor Houglum has a rich background in early learning, preschool education, children’s ministry, and program administration. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University, majoring in religion and sociology. Her M.Ed. degree from the Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt University emphasized young children and the importance of play in their learning. Read full biography.

Cheryl Iverson teaches courses in administration and management of early learning programs, bringing her rich experience in curriculum and instruction, classroom teaching, and program leadership. She currently oversees multiple early learning centers and child care programs for Volunteers of America Western Washington.
